Websites for restaurants, hotels, bars and hospitality brands, from planning and design to copywriting, development and launch. We connect your booking systems and provide hosting and ongoing support to keep the site working for your business.
Spotty Media provides hospitality website development for businesses across the UK. We design and build WordPress websites, redevelop existing sites and handle migrations, whether you are opening a venue or replacing a website that no longer reflects your business.
Restaurant menus, room information and booking journeys shape the brief. We can handle the complete project, including copywriting and on-site photography where needed. We can build, redesign and manage WordPress, Shopify, Wix and Squarespace websites, selecting the platform around the brief, integrations and the way your team needs to manage it.
As a specialist hospitality marketing agency, we can connect the website with your photography and content creation, social media and email marketing. Each project is quoted around the work your business needs.
Why It Matters
Your website is where guests check the details and decide what to do next. It needs to reflect the experience you offer and make the practical steps straightforward.
Current menus, room information, opening times and clear photographs help people judge whether your venue suits their plans. Make those essentials easy to find on a phone.
A clear route to availability, reservations or purchases reduces unnecessary steps. We work with your existing booking provider where suitable, with tracking limited by the data it makes available.
Menus change, new photographs arrive and events go on sale. A manageable website, with agreed support when you need it, helps your online information keep pace with the business.
The Numbers
A restaurant website can support discovery, product sales and marketing sign-ups. These UK consumer findings help explain those opportunities; they do not measure website conversion rates or predict sales.
95%
of UK diners used online resources to find new restaurants.
77%
of UK consumers surveyed would buy other restaurant offerings, such as cookbooks or cocktail kits.
89%
of UK consumers surveyed could be encouraged to sign up for restaurant marketing updates.
Source: SevenRooms, 2025 UK Restaurant Industry Trends, pages 6, 26 and 17 respectively, based on 1,000 UK consumers. Willingness to buy or sign up is not a completed purchase or subscription. Findings relate to restaurants, not all hospitality businesses.
Our website work ranges from new builds to re-platforming established sites. These examples show the different requirements behind each project.
New website build. We built a website covering Tin of Sardines’ Roker and Durham venues, presenting the different offers within one site. The project also included functionality for selling gift vouchers online.
New website and booking functions. We designed and built a new site with online bookings for Gin Tasting Experiences and a system for purchasing and delivering gift vouchers.
Website redevelopment. We re-platformed sō-lō’s website from its previous framework into Elementor and took over its hosting. The work brought the site’s presentation, information and navigation closer to the restaurant’s identity.
Website design, build and hosting. For this Yorkshire restaurant with rooms, we created a new website with information about the food, accommodation and surrounding area. The project formed part of wider marketing support for the venue.
At Spotty Media, we create powerful digital marketing strategies that help hospitality businesses stand out and attract more customers. Book a free consultation today and let’s take your brand to the next level.
We start with your business, your guests and the role your website needs to play. Your existing content, booking provider and requirements shape the specification. We agree the design, development, content and launch work before setting a realistic schedule.

We discuss your venue, current website and priorities, then agree the pages, content, integrations and budget for a bespoke project quote.

We map the guest journey, plan the content and design around your brand, with clear routes to menus, rooms, bookings and enquiries.

We develop the website and check mobile layouts, forms, booking journeys, page speed and accessibility before launch.
We handle launch and any migration work, with hosting, training and ongoing support arranged around how your team wants to manage the site.
“They elevated our website to better reflect our business and provided a smoother user journey. Their in-person visits, regular calls, and quick responses have ensured seamless communication.”
“Our new website not only looks the part but has a much smoother customer journey. They took the time to understand our brand, turned problems into solutions, and we’ve seen an uplift in bookings for our accommodation.”
“Spotty Media turned what seemed like an overwhelming process into a smooth transition. The traffic and ranking improvements exceeded our expectations, and our new operational efficiencies are setting the stage for sustained growth.”
“Spotty Media worked on our existing website, building additional pages and integrating systems such as online gift vouchers. They have enhanced its look and feel and increased online revenue by a significant amount. “
Good hospitality web design starts with what guests need to know. We plan page structure, navigation and calls to action around the experience you offer, from reading a restaurant menu to choosing a room or booking a table.
For restaurants and bars, that means making food, drinks, opening times and reservations easy to find. For hotels and inns, room information, dining and packages need a clear route into the booking engine. Our guide to improving a hotel website explores these guest-facing details.
Before launch, we check mobile layouts, forms, booking journeys, page speed and accessibility. When replacing a website, we also plan redirects and preserve useful content to help protect existing search visibility.

We build and redevelop WordPress websites around the way your hospitality business operates. We usually integrate the booking system you already use, including ResDiary, OpenTable, Caterbook and DesignMyNight. If you need a provider, we can help assess the options before agreeing an integration.
We can also add gift-voucher sales and event ticketing to WordPress websites, or build an online shop using WooCommerce. The functions are scoped around your products, experiences and existing systems, with compatibility checked before development.
For Pignut, our website work included supplier content and gift-voucher integration. Not every improvement needs a full rebuild: a new function or clearer page can address a specific need.
We can write your website copy from scratch or work with a draft you supply. Our team’s journalism experience helps us ask the right questions about your food, rooms, people and setting, then turn the answers into useful information for guests.
Page titles, meta descriptions, headings and internal links are considered alongside the copy. These search foundations help explain the website’s content without making it read like a list of keywords. A new website cannot guarantee a particular Google position.
If you need images, we can include on-site hospitality photography in the project scope. After launch, we can keep restaurant menus and other information current and replace images following new photo shoots.

Based in Durham. Working across the North.
From city restaurants to coastal hotels and country inns, Spotty Media provides website design, development and support across the North of England. Explore some of the towns and cities we cover.
Not listed? We also work with hospitality businesses across the UK.
We set up website analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console so you can understand search visibility and what visitors do on the site. Cookie consent and tracking are configured around visitors’ consent choices.
Where your third-party booking system supplies suitable data, we can configure completed-booking conversion tracking. If it does not, we explain what can be measured, such as booking-link clicks or enquiries. A click through to a booking system is not a confirmed reservation, and reporting depends on the provider and consent settings.
Yes. Spotty Media can build, redesign and manage WordPress, Shopify, Wix and Squarespace websites, including agreed changes to menus, offers, text and photographs. The recommended platform depends on the brief, integrations and how your team needs to manage the website.
Pricing is bespoke. We quote for the design, development, content and integrations your project needs rather than use a standard website price. New website builds include the first year of website hosting free, with annual renewal after that. Maintenance and ongoing support are arranged through a retainer or charged hourly.
A small website may take a couple of weeks, while a larger project can take several months. The schedule depends on the number of pages, design, content, integrations and feedback needed. We agree a timeline once the scope is clear.
Usually, yes. We normally work with the system already connected to your business rather than ask you to replace it. We check the integration available from your provider before confirming the work. If you do need a booking system, we can help assess suitable options. Completed-booking tracking depends on the data the provider makes available.
We handle migrations, including reviewing existing content and redirecting old URLs to suitable new pages. Our redevelopment of sō-lō’s website moved it from its previous framework into Elementor. We plan the migration with existing search visibility in mind, although no migration can guarantee unchanged rankings.
Website hosting includes email hosting, security provision and daily website backups. The first year of website hosting is free with a new website build, followed by annual renewal. Email hosting can also be purchased separately if you do not need website hosting.
Restoring a website from a backup is charged through your retainer or hourly support. Maintenance and ongoing technical support are also arranged separately; they are not automatically included in hosting.
Yes. Website maintenance, technical support and content updates are available through a retainer or on an hourly basis. That can include updating menus, changing text or adding photographs from a new shoot. We agree the work, support hours and response arrangements individually with each client.
Yes. We can provide training so your team can make updates, manage changes for you, or combine both approaches. We agree which tasks your team will handle and where you want support.
Tell us about your venue, your current website and what you would like to change. We can scope a new WordPress build, redevelopment or ongoing website management, with bespoke pricing and a timeline suited to the project.
